Imagine Caribe — homepage

The problem

Caribbean beachfront property opens with a photograph and closes on trust. The buyer is in another country, often another time zone, and the site is the first contact and sometimes the only one before the trip.

Every competitor has good photography. What was missing was a site that answers the boring questions without an email exchange: what exactly is included, what it costs, which city it's in, what the property's status is.

What I built

Search sits at the top of the homepage with the five fields people actually use. The listing page adds sixteen amenity filters, from pool and gym to sauna and golf course, because in this market amenities are half the decision.

The property page exposes an objective spec sheet: reference, price, bedrooms, bathrooms, garage, type, status, city and postcode, with a gallery, a map and sharing. There is a language switcher, favourites, a comparison tool and direct WhatsApp to the agent. Alongside the site I ran Meta Ads and Google Ads campaigns with geographic targeting, handling the photography and destination SEO.

The photograph opens. The spec sheet closes.

Full-bleed imagery to sell the desire, and immediately below it the cold data that answers the objection. An international buyer is not going to send an email to find out how many bedrooms there are.

Findable from outside the country

Destination SEO and image performance, because the search starts on Google in another country and ends on a phone roaming abroad.

Project documentation

Art direction

Property in Punta Cana sells on the photograph, not the copy. So the site gets out of the way: full-bleed hero, restrained type, and the interface showing up only when you need it — filters, contact, floor plan. A serif on the lead to carry the weight of an established agency rather than a holiday listing.

Palette

This site runs on an off-the-shelf theme and exposes no palette of its own in CSS — the colour comes from the property photography, which is its strongest asset. Documenting something that does not exist would be making it up.

Why this stack

WordPress with Houzez because the client needed to list properties themselves, in English and Spanish, with search by neighbourhood, price band and amenity — all of it already solved. Writing it from scratch would have cost months to land somewhere worse. Sometimes the right call is not to build.

Where I actually intervened

On language, search structure and the paths to WhatsApp. The theme provides the base; what decides whether a lead arrives is the route, and I designed that.
